This Abhyanga places an emphasis on Marma points which are specific locations where the body's physical and subtle energies intersect. They very closely relate to the acupuncture points in Chinese medicine but without the use of needles. Marma points correspond to various tissues, organs, and systems, and they are believed to hold significant influence over physical, mental, and emotional well-being. By using gentle touch and pressure we stimulate the marma points promoting energy flow, supporting the body's innate healing mechanisms, addressing physical, mental and emotional imbalances.

Process
After an initial assessment of the client's constitution and specific needs, the therapy is conducted with the client lying down comfortably. The massage is punctuated with clockwise rotations of the marma points to release any blocked energy. This process is carried out all over the body as a general ‘tune up’ or with particular emphasis on specific marma points if there are specific concerns or conditions. This is a 90 minute therapy which also concludes with a rest period for absorption followed by a warm herbal tea to enhance the cleansing process and promote further relaxation.
